AmeriCorps grant will engage 40 citizens in service year with RP

The Corporation for National and Community Service has awarded Reading Partners $532,000 to support AmeriCorps members who will serve K-5 students from under-resourced schools across the country who are reading below grade level.
AmeriCorps members supported by these grants will serve in California, Washington, D.C., and New York City. This is Reading Partners’ fourth year as an AmeriCorps sponsor, and this year’s grant award will allow it to expand its one-on-one literacy tutoring program across the country.
