We are very excited to let you know that Reading Partners has been selected to receive the 2009 Excellence in Nonprofit Volunteer Management Award from the Volunteer Center of San Francisco and San Mateo Counties! We are thrilled to receive this honor.

Reading Partners was nominated by longtime Selby Lane tutor, and Reading Partners board member Perry Thorndyke. The organization was selected as one of two recipients from the 10,000+ nonprofit organizations that serve these two counties.

Reading Partners was recognized at an event hosted by the Volunteer Center of San Francisco and San Mateo Counties on May 6, 2009. The evening featured a keynote address from California Secretary of Service and Volunteering. The award was presented to Reading Partners CEO Michael Lombardo by Kate Kelly of CBS-5, pictured at right.
