Reading Partners Monday, 12 July 2010 00:00
The 2009-10 school year was another record-breaking year for Reading Partners. We opened 4 new school sites in the Bay Area (33% growth), launched Reading Partners Sacramento, and expanded our overall enrollment by nearly 50%. At the same, we maintained our commitment to providing high-quality programs with clear outcomes for students, turning in program results that were as good or better than any year in our 10-year history.It is with great pleasure and excitement that we release our 2010 Annual Report: '10 Stories for 10 Years' . The positive results that you will read about in this report are a testament to the dedication and support of this organization’s many stakeholders: students, volunteers, teachers, principals, parents and, of course, our individual and institutional supporters. For the 2009-10 school year;
· 1,241 students were enrolled in the Reading Partners program at 24 school sites.
· 88% of target students accelerated their rate of learning while in the program.
· 75% of target students closed the achievement gap, ending the school year closer to grade level expectations.
· 96% of tutors were satisfied with their Reading Partners experience
· 100% of principals stated they would recommend Reading Partners to another school
Your support continues to be a critical component of our vision to see every child gain the reading skills needed to reach his or her full potential and become lifelong readers. Many thanks for sharing this vision and helping us make it a reality, one child at a time.
