Dolores Huerta Elementary School Reading Center

Dolores Huerta is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District and is part of the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools. Dolores Huerta Elementary School is located approximately three miles south of downtown Los Angeles, near the corner of S Main St. and E 31st St. The reading center is located on the second floor in room 200A and is in operation Monday – Thursday from 9AM – 5PM. Parking is available all along E 31st St in front of the school (check signs for parking restrictions).

New Heights Charter School Reading Center

New Heights Charter School operates a lower grades (K-3) and upper grades campus (3-8). The lower grades reading center operates on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am-5:00pm and the upper grades reading center operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am-5:00pm. Street parking is available at the lower campus on South Van Ness and at the upper campus on Hobart (check for parking restriction signs).

* The entrance for this campus is on the south side of Martin Luther King Blvd. at the black gate halfway between Arlington and Van Ness. The gate is set slightly back from the sidewalk and is across the street from the entrance to the McDonald's drive-thru. When you ring the buzzer, let the office know that you are there for Reading Partners. Do not park in the church parking lot when tutoring at this campus.

* The entrance for this campus is shared with King Elementary and can be found about halfway up Hobart north of Martin Luther King, on the west side of the street. When you sign in at the visitor table, let them know that you are there to volunteer for Reading Partners at New Heights Charter. To find the reading center, make a left after you walk through the entrance and turn right at the corner of the building. The reading center can be found in room 28 across from the cafeteria tables.
